Happy Birthday!

Graham celebrated his 1st birthday party over the weekend! Ann put together an amazing party. It was a bug theme for our little 1-year-old bug, complete with a caterpillar cake, strawberry lady bugs on melon leaves, cup cakes decorated with bugs, a giant caterpillar sandwich, bug magnet favors, and random little bugs scattered about the house :) He and his brother even had custom made birthday shirts!

Graham & Nolan are blessed to have such wonderful family & friends! Thanks to everyone who made Graham's day so special.

First Family Camping Trip

We made our first camping trip as a family over the weekend. It was a great time! Nolan loved swimming in the campground's pool, riding his bike around the campsite, and eating his first s'more! And Graham....well....he might just be a little too young to fully appreciate the camping experience.

Overall it was a good vacation, and quality family time :)

First Family Camping Trip

Back from Louisville...

We made our last trip to Louisville before David and Drew leave for Germany. :( It was a bit of a challenge getting there with 2 little boys, but it did go pretty well. The boys were great there and enjoyed all the activities David and Drew planned for us. We went to Zappos (huge online shoe store) headquarters clearance center and got some good deals, the largest go kart speedway (1.5 miles), Louisville Zoo (96 degrees that day)--Nolan loved this-he can imitate sounds of about 15 animals, and just enjoyed being together. We'll miss you guys!!

Ann starts back to work on Thursday. :( Time sure does go by quickly. But she is fortunate to have 2 days off, so hopefully that makes the transition earlier. Sandy can't wait to watch both boys.

Graham is doing well. He seems to be figuring out his nights better. Still not sleeping through the night, but he'll go in 5-6 hour stretches. He's a lot of fun with his smiles and coos. Graham tipped the scales at 13 lbs 6 oz (75th percentile) and is 23" long (50th percentile). Looks like he's gonna be the chunky brother!

Nolan is great and so much fun at this age! He has been loving this warm weather and playing in his pool and sprinkler.

Beautiful boys

Just wanted to post a little update. Things are going very well so far. Of course I can say that now because we've had LOTS of help and meals prepared for us. Thank you to all for that. This week will be the true test as I think things are settling down and I'm recovered from surgery.

Graham is doing well, he has not gained as much weight as the doctors would like. We have to supplement with bottles after nursing, just makes for a little extra cuddling time with him.

Nolan has been an amazing big brother!! He has adjusted very well to having Graham around and has been very gentle with him. He puts his arms out wanting to hold him and does for a couple seconds and then tries to push "baby" off his lap. :) At least he tries, right?

We are truly blessed to have 2 beautiful and healthy sons!

Graham Edwin Sarber was born at 7:55am on April 16, 2009. He weighs 7lbs 10 oz, and is 20" long.

Graham & Ann are both doing well.
