First Family Camping Trip

We made our first camping trip as a family over the weekend. It was a great time! Nolan loved swimming in the campground's pool, riding his bike around the campsite, and eating his first s'more! And Graham....well....he might just be a little too young to fully appreciate the camping experience.

Overall it was a good vacation, and quality family time :)

First Family Camping Trip

Back from Louisville...

We made our last trip to Louisville before David and Drew leave for Germany. :( It was a bit of a challenge getting there with 2 little boys, but it did go pretty well. The boys were great there and enjoyed all the activities David and Drew planned for us. We went to Zappos (huge online shoe store) headquarters clearance center and got some good deals, the largest go kart speedway (1.5 miles), Louisville Zoo (96 degrees that day)--Nolan loved this-he can imitate sounds of about 15 animals, and just enjoyed being together. We'll miss you guys!!

Ann starts back to work on Thursday. :( Time sure does go by quickly. But she is fortunate to have 2 days off, so hopefully that makes the transition earlier. Sandy can't wait to watch both boys.

Graham is doing well. He seems to be figuring out his nights better. Still not sleeping through the night, but he'll go in 5-6 hour stretches. He's a lot of fun with his smiles and coos. Graham tipped the scales at 13 lbs 6 oz (75th percentile) and is 23" long (50th percentile). Looks like he's gonna be the chunky brother!

Nolan is great and so much fun at this age! He has been loving this warm weather and playing in his pool and sprinkler.

Beautiful boys

Just wanted to post a little update. Things are going very well so far. Of course I can say that now because we've had LOTS of help and meals prepared for us. Thank you to all for that. This week will be the true test as I think things are settling down and I'm recovered from surgery.

Graham is doing well, he has not gained as much weight as the doctors would like. We have to supplement with bottles after nursing, just makes for a little extra cuddling time with him.

Nolan has been an amazing big brother!! He has adjusted very well to having Graham around and has been very gentle with him. He puts his arms out wanting to hold him and does for a couple seconds and then tries to push "baby" off his lap. :) At least he tries, right?

We are truly blessed to have 2 beautiful and healthy sons!

Graham Edwin Sarber was born at 7:55am on April 16, 2009. He weighs 7lbs 10 oz, and is 20" long.

Nolan such a happy guy and brings so much joy to our lives!! He is anxiously awaiting baby's arrival. Every morning when he's waking up, lying in bed, we hear him say, "Daddy, mama, nono (Nolan), baby, bugs (Mugsie)". He must understand baby is part of our family already! Hopefully he adjusts well. :)

I (Ann) have been doing great. It's amazing how much different and better this pregnancy has been. I'm 37 weeks--getting very excited to meet this little one.

Big Boy Beds & Basketballs

Nolan's obsession with Basketball has officially been condoned by Mom & Dad...he now has his very own hoop.





And he's loving his new room. After 3 or 4 nights in his new bed, he finally discovered he can just get up whenever he wants. He seems to enjoy emptying his bookshelf when he's supposed to be taking a nap :)

33 weeks and counting!!

Yey! I'll be 33 weeks tomorrow and am doing great so far! I was on bedrest at 32 wks with Nolan, so any extra time I get we're grateful for! So far no signs of preeclampsia. Baby had the hiccups today when the doctor was listening to the heartbeat-that was neat to hear.

Nolan is doing great! I think we can say he is officially sleeping in his big boy bed. We tried it the other night and went right to sleep and slept all night in it. It's been 3 nights and several naps now! He makes sure to show any visitors his new room.

Thanks for continuing to think of us!

Vacation's over :(

We got back last night from our "last vacation with just the 3 of us". We went to Frankenmuth to a hotel/waterpark for 2 nights. We definitely have a fish on our hands-Nolan LOVED it! He'd purposefully put his face in the water and when we'd put him under, he'd do his hand language for "more please". It was awesome to see him so happy! Everything else is going well. I am now 30 weeks along (already!) and feeling great. I start working only 2 days per week next week (Thursdays and Fridays) just to help prevent preeclampsia again. Hopefully it works! Baby is very active, we might have our hands full with this one.

Updates

Sorry, no pictures! We're still here and doing well. Mama and baby are doing great--everything is looking good. I recently had some lab work just to make sure preeclampsia wasn't starting and that came back great! Yey! Baby is pretty active, I love feeling movements.

Nolan is also great. He's beginning to say alot more which is fun. Our latest favorites are "bus", "Mugs", "horse", "baby", and many more. He'll give lots of words a try. He does have a chore now, he feeds Mugsie. He'll walk over and get her bowl, we'll help him scoop the food, and he'll bring it back to her. He loves doing it and we love watching him!

We're so blessed!
